Request for Ideas

I thought it would be interesting to find out what our friends and family are interested in hearing about.  So instead of you only reading about what Diana and I feel inspired to write about, give us some ideas!  Add a comment to this posting and we'll start blogging about them.  Of course we'll have our own ideas, but we thought this might make it a little more interesting for the 10 or 12 family members/friends out there reading this blog.

  1. Haha. Well, I love everything you have written already! Seriously, I'm not just being nice. But I know my kids would love to know a little bit more about what their cousins are doing, just day to day things that are different than in the States. And Diana, how are you spending your time, ya know, besides cool science experiments with the treadmill. Tys, anymore fun, adventurous lake outings? Really, you guys are doing a great job and I LOVE reading this...no matter what is on it.

  2. I love reading all your posts! $35 for a batch of cookies, that's insane! What a different but exciting life you are living over there. Glad you are all safe, keep the posts coming.

We (Nicole and I) really enjoy re-living your culture shock from the comfort of our office chair every week. I'm glad you and Tyson are trading off blogs. More of the same would be great. Once the strange and uncomfortable experiences become more familiar, I would love to hear about Tyson's day to day at work. Some pictures of your housing complex, car, etc would be really nice to see too. When I look back at my travels abroad, my most cherished photos and memories were...oddly enough..pictures and memories of the things I saw every day rather than the rare and unusual. So, my vote is...I'd love to see and read more a little more about the streets, buildings, people, and functions you're passing by on a routine basis. If it is so common that you say to yourself "I'll never forget this ol'thing," then maybe snap a pick and post it. I love the photos. So far, the blog is a total hit...so even if you scrap everything I said and keep doing what your doing...it's an exciting read. And by the way...both of you write wonderfully. We think of you both often, wish you both a safe and enjoyable experience.
